Gene Summary | This gene is similar to a mouse gene that encodes a putative protein kinase with a tudor domain, and shows testis-specific expression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] Transcript Variant: This variant (4) differs in the 5' UTR and coding region, and initiates translation at a downstream AUG compared to variant 1. The resulting protein (isoform b) has a shorter N-terminus compared to isoform 1. Variants 2 and 4 encode the same protein.
