Expression of this gene is regulated by both members of the estrogen receptor family. This gene may be involved in the progression of several types of cancer. Transcript Variant: This variant (2) differs in its 5' UTR, uses a downstream in-frame start codon, and lacks an alternate in-frame segment in the 3' coding region, compared to variant 1. The encoded isoform (2) is shorter, compared to isoform 1.
