Specifications
Product Data | |
Clone Name | SPM542 |
Applications | FC, IF, IHC |
Recommended Dilution | Western Blotting (Not tested). Flow Cytometry: 0.5-1 µg/million cells. Immunofluorescence: 1-2 µg/ml. Immunohistochemistry on Formalin-Fixed Paraffin Sections: 1-2 µg/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. Positive Control: Jurkat or Ramos cells, Heart, Kidney, Pituitary, Breast cancer, Melanoma. |
Reactivities | Human, Rabbit, Zebrafish |
Host | Mouse |
Isotype | IgM |
Clonality | Monoclonal |
Immunogen | A 10-amino acid synthetic peptide (aa34-43) from Human TGFα. |
Specificity | This antibody reacts with the TGF alpha and shows no cross-reaction with EGF and the neuropeptide synenkephalin. The staining with this Monoclonal Antibody is completely blocked by the peptide used for raising this antibody. TGFα (aa50) is a growth factor with 33% homology to EGF, binds to EGFR, activates tyrosine phosphorylation of the receptor, and stimulates cell proliferation. It plays a role in tumor initiation by inducing the reversible transformed phenotype. Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic and Extracellular (secreted). |
Formulation | 10mM PBS State: Purified State: Liquid purified IgG fraction from Bioreactor Concentrate Stabilizer: 0.05% BSA Preservative: 0.05% Sodium Azide |
