Epitope tag antibodies

OriGene has developed a family of anti-tag antibodies optimized for purification and detection of the recombinant proteins. Most of them are mouse monoclonal antibodies, screened and validated for high sensitivity and specificity.

What are Epitope tag antibodies:

Epitope tags are short peptide sequences cloned on to a recombinant protein at the C-,or N terminals and sometimes at internal positions. These tags improve expression levels and solubility of proteins, their ability to generate of high titer antibodies, visual read outs (when using fluorescent tags), and to study structure-function relationship of protein. These fusion tags are very strong antigenic epitopes, hence are ideal for generating antibodies and particularly useful for proteins with no antibodies.

OriGene offers a range of antibodies that interact with these epitope tags. Key applications of these anti-tag antibodies include protein purification, immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, ELISA, ChIP, ICC, and western blot.

What are fluorescent protein antibodies?

Fluorescent protein antibodies are antibodies that bind to fluorescent proteins, that exhibit bright fluorescence when exposed to certain wavelengths of light. Fluorescent protein antibodies are used when the fluorescent property is dimmed. It is used in western blots, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, and immunoprecipitation applications.

OriGene offers the broad selection of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies against fluorescent proteins (FPs) in standard and carrier free formats. Conjugations of these antibodies to HRP or magnetic beads are also available for Western blot, Immunoprecipitation, and protein purification.
