Applications | ELISA, ID, IF, IHC, WB |
Recommended Dilution | Can be used to identify light chain type in enzyme-immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical staining of immunoglobulins and to demonstrate circulating monoclonal immunoglobulins and Bence Jones proteins of the kappa type in serum or other body fluids. This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labelled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal. Recommended Working Dilutions: Histochemical and Cytochemical Use: 1/50-1/200. ELISA and comparable non-precipitating antibody-binding assays: 1/1000-1/8000. |
Reactivities | Mouse |
Host | Goat |
Isotype | IgG |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Immunogen | A pool of purified Bence Jones kappa proteins isolated from mouse urine. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure. |
Specificity | The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the surface and hidden determinants of Ig kappa chain. A reaction is obtained with intact polyclonal or monoclonal immunoglobulins of the kappa type, as well as free kappa light chains. Cross-Reactivity: Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail. |
Formulation | PBS, pH 7.2 No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. No foreign proteins added. Label: HRP State: Lyophilised purified Hyperimmune Ig fraction Stabilizer: None Preservative: None Label: Horseradish Peroxidase Molar radio: 1.7 |
Reconstitution Method | Restore with 1 ml sterile distilled water. |
Concentration | 10 mg/ml |
Purification | DEAE-column Chromatography |
Conjugation | HRP |
Note | Adsorption: Immunoaffinity adsorbed using insolubilized antigens as required, to eliminate antibodies reacting with mouse serum proteins. The use of insolubilized adsorption antigens prevents the presence of excess adsorbent protein or immune complexes in the antiserum. |
