This protein has been shown to bind DNA in a sequence-specific manner and has been implicated in neural stem cell proliferation and differentiation. Transcript Variant: This variant (3) contains an alternate exon in the 5' region and initiates translation at a downstream in-frame start codon, compared to variant 1. The encoded isoform (3) has a shorter N-terminus than isoform 1.
