This protein may also serve as a dual-function factor to couple transcription and splicing and to facilitate their reciprocal activation. Transcript Variant: This variant (2) is missing a 5' non-coding exon, and therefore, has a different 5' UTR compared to variant 1. Variants 1 and 2 encode the same protein.
