It phosphorylates homeodomain transcription factors and may also function as a co-repressor for homeodomain transcription factors. Alternative splicing results in four transcript variants encoding four distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Transcript Variant: This variant (2) has a distinct 3' UTR and coding region, compared to variant 1. This results in a protein (isoform 2) which is shorter and has a distinct C-terminus, compared to isoform 1.
