• Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is a tetrahydrobiopterin- and iron-dependent enzyme that cleaves the ether bond of alkylglycerols. Sequence comparisons distinguish this protein as forming a third, distinct class of tetrahydrobiopterin-dependent enzymes.
