Purity | >95% pure by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses |
Buffer | Presentation State: Purified State: Lyophilized purified protein |
Bioactivity | Biological: Determined by its ability to inhibit alkaline phosphatase activity in differentiating MC3T3/E1 cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 0.5-1.5 μg/ml. |
Endotoxin | < 0.1 ng per µg (1EU/µg) |
Reconstitution | Restore in Water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 2-8°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. |
Preparation | Lyophilized purified protein |
Protein Description | Recombinant Human B7-2Fc is a homodimeric B7-2 fusion protein, whose monomer contains a total of 453 amino acid residues, consisting of 222 amino acid residues corresponding to the extracellular domain of Human B7-2, fused to the Fc portion of Human IgG1. The calculated molecular weight of the B7-2 Fc monomer is 51.2 kDa. |
Note | Centrifuge the vial prior to opening! |
Storage | Store lyophilized at 2-8°C for 6 months or at -20°C long term. After reconstitution store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C long term. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
Stability | Shelf life: one year from despatch. |

Summary | 'This gene encodes a type I membrane protein that is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein is expressed by antigen-presenting cells, and it is the ligand for two proteins at the cell surface of T cells, CD28 antigen and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4. Binding of this protein with CD28 antigen is a costimulatory signal for activation of the T-cell. Binding of this protein with cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 negatively regulates T-cell activation and diminishes the immune response. Alternative splicing results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms.[provided by RefSeq, May 2011]' |
