Background | Platelet Factor X (PFX), also know as Stuart Prower Factor or as Thrombokinase, is an enzyme of the coagulation cascade. PFX is synthesized in the liver and requires vitamin K for its synthesis. PFX is activated into factor Xa by both fator IX and factor VII. PFX cleaves prothrombin to yield active thrombin. |
