Applications | ELISA, WB |
Recommended Dilution | Indirect ELISA: To detect FGF-4 by indirect ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 - 2.0 μg/ml is required. In conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, it allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant FGF-4. Sandwich ELISA: To detect FGF-4 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 - 2.0 μg/ml is required. In conjunction with Biotinylated Anti-Human FGF-4 as a detection antibody, it allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant FGF-4. Western Blot: To detect FGF-4 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant FGF-4 is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. |

Background | FGF4 is a heparin binding growth factor that is a member of the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF4 signals through the FGFR 1c, 2c, 3c, and 4. |
Synonyms | Fibroblast growth factor 4, HST-1, HST, HSTF1, KS3 |
