Product Data
Applications ELISA, ID, IF, IHC, IP
Recommended Dilution Can be used as reagent for the direct detection of Properdin in Human cells, tissues and body fluids in Immunofluorescence, as detection reagent in non-isotopic methodology and Solid Phase Immunochemistry (e.g. ELISA).
This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. Excess labelled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal.
Recommended Dilutions: 1/10-1/60.
Reactivities Human
Host Goat
Isotype IgG
Clonality Polyclonal
Immunogen The antigen has been isolated from pooled Human plasma.
Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity In Immunoelectrophoresis against Human serum a single precipitin line is obtained. The antiserum does not react with any other protein component of Human serum or plasma.
The antiserum does not cross-react with any other Human plasma proteins as tested in gel-diffusion techniques. Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to plasma proteins, since homologous proteins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.
Formulation PBS, pH 7.2 without preservatives
Label: FITC
State: Lyophilized purified IgG fraction
Label: Fluorescein Isothiocyanate isomer 1
Absorption emission: 492 nm / 515 nm
Molar radio: Fluorescein/IgG ~1.4
Reconstitution Method Restore by adding 1 ml of sterile distilled water
Concentration lot specific
Purification Hyperimmune antisera with strong precipitating activity are selected for fractionation by Salt Precipitation and purification of the IgG fraction by DEAE-Chromatography
Conjugation FITC
Storage

Prior to reconstitution store at 2-8°C.
Following reconstitution store undiluted at 2-8°C for one month
or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Stability Shelf life: one year from despatch.

Gene Name Homo sapiens complement factor properdin (CFP), transcript variant 1
Background Properdin is a factor of the alternative complement activation pathway. It has a molecular weight of 222,000 and consists of four peptide chains. Properdin is stabilizing the C3 convertase C3bBb.
The mean concentration in plasma is 20 mg/ml.
Synonyms CFP, PFC, Complement factor P
Note Adsorption: Immunoaffinity adsorbed using insolubilized antigens as required, to eliminate antibodies reacting with other dog serum proteins. The use of insolubilized adsorption antigens prevents the presence of excess adsorbent protein or immune complexes in the antiserum.
