• Background: Northern blot analysis revealed weak expression restricted to a few tissues: transcripts of 2.1 and 2.4 kb in prostate and a transcript of 1.8 kb in peripheral blood leukocytes. All tumor cell lines, however, strongly expressed the TNFSF13 2.1-kb transcript, and expression of extracellular or full-length TNFSF13 led to increased proliferation of various cell lines.
