Background | FGF16 belongs to the heparin-binding growth factors family. It induces hepatocellular proliferation, but has no biological effect on the heart. The FGF's play key roles in controlling tissue growth, morphogenesis, and repair in animals. Fibroblast Growth Factor 16 is a newly discovered heparin binding growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express the FGF receptors. |
Synonyms | Fibroblast growth factor 16, FGF-16 |
