Applications | ELISA, WB |
Recommended Dilution | Direct ELISA: To detect Human IL-22 by direct ELISA (using 100 µl/well) a concentration of ~1.0 µg/ml of this antibody is required. The Biotinylated antibody allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human IL-22. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human IL-22 by Sandwich ELISA (using 100 µl/well) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 µg/ml of this antibody is required. The Biotinylated antibody, in conjuction with anti-Human IL22 (PP1224P1 or PP1224P2) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human IL-22. Western blot: To detect Human IL-22 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Human IL-22 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. |

Background | IL22 is a cytokine structurally related to IL10 and is upregulated in activated T cells. IL22 signals through a receptor complex that includes CRF2-4 and a new member of the class II cytokine receptor family (also known as the interferon receptor family), IL22R. CRF2-4 has previously been demonstrated to be a functional component of the IL-10 signaling complex. IL22 is able to suppress IL4 production; this may have therapeutic potential, particularly in the treatment of asthma. |
