Clone Name | IBL-3/5 |
Applications | FC |
Recommended Dilution | Flow Cytometry: Use 50 µl of 1/5 diluted antibodyto label 106 cells in 100 µl. Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Sections: Neat. The epitope recognised by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. We recommend the use of acetone fixation for frozen sections. |
Reactivities | Mouse |
Host | Rat |
Isotype | IgM |
Clonality | Monoclonal |
Immunogen | In vivo stimulated, purified mouse B cells. Spleen cells from an immunised Wistar rat were fused with cells of the SP2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cell line. |
Specificity | This antibody recognizes a monomorphic epitope present on murine MHC class II molecules, which are expressed by dendritic cells, B-cells and macrophages. This clone is reported to induce homotypic clustering of B cells in vitro. Negative Species: Human, Rat. |
Formulation | 0.2M Tris/HCl pH7.4 containing 5-10% Foetal Calf Serum State: Supernatant State: Liquid Tissue Culture Supernatant Preservative: 0.09% Sodium Azide |
Background | The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In mice, this complex is referred to as the histocompatibility 2 (H-2) region. |
Synonyms | H2-Eb1, H-2 class II histocompatibility antigen I-A beta chain |
