Specifications
| Product Data | |
| Clone Name | MC19-9 |
| Applications | ELISA, IHC, IP, WB |
| Recommended Dilution | ELISA (20 µg/ml). Immunoprecipitation (20 µg/ml). Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Sections (1/200). Western blotting (only under Reducing Conditions). |
| Reactivities | Human |
| Host | Mouse |
| Isotype | IgG1 |
| Clonality | Monoclonal |
| Immunogen | Human J Chain. |
| Specificity | The antibody reacts with Human J chain as tested by ELISA using purified Human Ig fragments as the solid phase target antigen. The antibody does not detect J chain in intact IgM in ELISA assays due to steric hindrance. In Western blotting techniques SM1013P detects J chain in IgM only in reducing conditions. |
| Formulation | TRIS buffered Saline containing 0.09% Sodium Azide as preservative State: Purified State: Liquid purified IgG fraction |
| Concentration | lot specific |
| Purification | Affinity Chromatography on Protein A |
| Storage | Store undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
| Stability | Shelf life: one year from despatch. |

| Background | Immunoglobulin J chain (IGJ) serves to link two monomer units of either IgM or IgA. In the case of IgM, the J chain joined dimer is a nucleating unit for the IgM pentamer, and in the case of IgA it induces larger polymers. It also helps to bind these immunoglobulins to secretory components. |
| Synonyms | IGJ, IGCJ |
