• Background: This antigen is a 100kD, GPI anchored molecule expressed on peripheral blood polymorphonuclear cells The antigen is expressed strongly by mature granulocytes and meta-myelocytes, but only weakly by bone marrow myelocytes. Peripheral blood monocytes and lymphocytes do not express significant amounts of the antigen.
