Background | The monoclonal antibody to rat IFN-? (clone DB-1) was first described in 1989. It has shown to neutralize both natural and recombinant rat IFN-? and mouse IFN-? in vivo and in vitro. In a Western Blot the antibody reacts with the 14 kDa and 18 kDa polypeptides present in natural rat IFN-? (van der Meide P.H. et al. 1989). The biotinyated DB-1 antibody is highly effective as detector antibody in both sandwich ELISA and ELISPOT assays using DB-12 (cat no. CT052) as coating antibody. Further, the DB-1 antibody can be used for immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissues (Aguilar Torrentera F. et al. 2002). Other available formats: unconjugated and FITC labeled. |
