Background | The mouse anti-rat IFN-? monoclonal antibody (clone DB-2) is, in terms of reactivity, very similair to the DB-1 antibody (cat. no. CT032). Whereas the DB-1 antibody is a mouse monoclonal antibody of the IgG1 subtype, clone DB-2 is an IgA subtype. The DB-2 antibody has shown not to bind with rodent IFN-a1 and -β or to human IFNs. The antibody effectively neutralizes both rat and mouse IFN-? in vitro and in vivo. (Van der Meide P.H. et al. 1989 and Issekutz T.B. et al. 1988). Further, the DB-2 antibody is active in Western Blot analysis (Van der Meide P.H. et al. 1986). |
