• Background: Leu-1 is a surface glycoprotein present on peripheral T cells (>95%) and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells that binds CD72. Absence of the Leu-1 marker on childhood ALL cells is associated with a more favourable prognosis. UCH-T2 is useful for detection of T cells in peripheral blood and lymph nodes and categorisation of T cell lymphomas and B cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
