WB: Cell lysate from A431 (Lane 1) was resolved onto 10% SDSPAGE and transferred onto NC Membrane, then probed by Anti-cFos antibody, at 1:500. An immune-reactive band around 55-kDa is observed. The band is abolished by preincubating with immunizing peptide (Lane 2)

• 

  IHC: Human Skin stained with Anti-c-Fos antibody at 1:100 for 10 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissue requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.

• Background: The c-Fos proto-oncogene, an 55 kDa nuclear phosphor-protein, belongs to a family of transcription factors. It plays important roles in cell proliferation and differentiation. c-Fos is associated with the c-Jun protein, forming a stable c-Fos/c-Jun heterodimeric complex, this complex binds to the DNA promoter region which regulate transcription. Expression of the c-Fos gene is low in most normal adult tissues. However, high levels of expression have been detected in normal skin.
