Background | Bradykinin is a 9 amino acid, biologically active peptide within the kinin group of proteins that promotes inflammation. During inflammation, it is released locally from mast cells and basophils following tissue damage. It has been shown to sensitize capsaicin / temperature TRPV1 receptors, thus lowering the temperature threshold at which they activate. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Bradykinin coupled to a carrier protein. |
Synonyms | BDK; bradykinin; HMWK; kininogen; KNG |
