Background | Anxiety Peptide has been discovered in human and rat brains. It binds to the same receptor through which benzodiazepine drugs exert their effects, such as Valium and Librium. This peptide appears to increase anxiety rather than decreasing it as the drugs to. Anxiety Peptide is located in brain areas, such as hypothalamus and medial amygdaloid nucleus that are important for emotion. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Anxiety Peptide coupled to a carrier protein. |
