Gene Name tachykinin precursor 1
Background Neurokinin A (KNA) is a 10-amino acid neuropeptide neurotransmitter that belongs to the tachykinin family. It is an important contributor to nociceptive processing, satiety, and smooth muscle contraction. Tachykinins are also known to be excitatory neurotransmitters with effects on mammalian nervous. They also influence mammalian inflammatory and pain responses. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Neurokinin A coupled to a carrier protein.
