CD8 is a T-cell co-receptor involved in the recognition of MHC class I molecules. It is present on cytotoxic/suppressor T lymphocytes.
  
  The antibody RIV11 is recommended for the detection and analysis of CD8 via flow cytometry and immunofluorescence staining of cells and tissues.
