Anti-BAIAP2 mouse monoclonal antibody (TA502981) immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected by pCMV6-ENTRY BAIAP2 (RC214570).

• 

  HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Cat# PS100001, Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY BAIAP2 (Cat# RC214570, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-BAIAP2 (Cat# TA502981). Positive lysates LY401909 (100ug) and LC401909 (20ug) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

• 

  Flow cytometric Analysis of Hela cells, using anti-BAIAP2 antibody (TA502981), (Red), compared to a nonspecific negative control antibody, (Blue).

• 

  HEK293T cells transfected with either RC214570 overexpress plasmid (Red) or empty vector control plasmid (Blue) were immunostained by anti-BAIAP2 antibody (TA502981), and then analyzed by flow cytometry.

• 

  Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Carcinoma of Human bladder tissue using anti-BAIAP2 mouse monoclonal antibody. Heat-induced epitope retrieval by EDTA solution buffer pH 8.0 at 120°C for 3 min.

• 

  Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Human prostate tissue within the normal limits using anti-BAIAP2 mouse monoclonal antibody. Heat-induced epitope retrieval by EDTA solution buffer pH 8.0 at 120°C for 3 min.

• Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Carcinoma of Human pancreas tissue using anti-BAIAP2 mouse monoclonal antibody. Heat-induced epitope retrieval by EDTA solution buffer pH 8.0 at 120°C for 3 min.

• Background: The protein encoded by this gene has been identified as a brain-specific angiogenesis inhibitor (BAI1)-binding protein. This adaptor protein links membrane bound G-proteins to cytoplasmic effector proteins. This protein functions as an insulin receptor tyrosine kinase substrate and suggests a role for insulin in the central nervous system. It also associates with a downstream effector of Rho small G proteins, which is associated with the formation of stress fibers and cytokinesis. This protein is involved in lamellipodia and filopodia formation in motile cells and may affect neuronal growth-cone guidance. This protein has also been identified as interacting with the dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy gene, which is associated with an autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disease.
