HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY PTK7 (RC223416, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-PTK7.

  Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from 9 different cell lines by using anti-PTK7 monoclonal antibody (HepG2: human; HeLa: human; SVT2: mouse; A549: human; COS7: monkey; Jurkat: human; MDCK: canine; PC12: rat; MCF7: human).

  Anti-PTK7 mouse monoclonal antibody (TA503920) immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected by pCMV6-ENTRY PTK7 (RC223416).

  HEK293T cells transfected with either RC223416 overexpress plasmid (Red) or empty vector control plasmid (Blue) were immunostained by anti-PTK7 antibody (TA503920), and then analyzed by flow cytometry.

• Background: Receptor protein tyrosine kinases transduce extracellular signals across the cell membrane. A subgroup of these kinases lack detectable catalytic tyrosine kinase activity but retain roles in signal transduction. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of this subgroup of tyrosine kinases and may function as a cell adhesion molecule. This gene is thought to be expressed in colon carcinomas but not in normal colon, and therefore may be a marker for or may be involved in tumor progression.
