HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY THRA (RC203210, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-THRA.

  Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (10 ug per lane) of wild-type Hela cells (WT, Cat# LC810HELA) and THRA-Knockout Hela cells (KO, Cat# LC810239) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-THRA monoclonal antibody TA805187. Then the blotted membrane was stripped and reprobed with anti-HSP90AB1 antibody (TA500494) as a loading control (1:500).

• Background: The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear hormone receptor for triiodothyronine. It is one of the several receptors for thyroid hormone, and has been shown to mediate the biological activities of thyroid hormone. Knockout studies in mice suggest that the different receptors, while having certain extent of redundancy, may mediate different functions of thyroid hormone.
