HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY IKBKE (RC212481, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-IKBKE (1:500). Positive lysates LY415533 (100ug) and LC415533 (20ug) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

• Background: IKBKE is a noncanonical I-kappa-B (see MIM 164008) kinase (IKK) that is essential for regulating antiviral signaling pathways. IKBKE has also been identified as a breast cancer (MIM 114480) oncogene and is amplified and overexpressed in over 30% of breast carcinomas and breast cancer cell lines (Hutti et al., 2009 [PubMed 19481526]).
