Specifications
Product Data | |
Applications | ELISA, ID, IF, IHC, IP |
Recommended Dilution | This antibody can be used: To identify and measure IgE, antigen or antibody, at the cellular and subcellular level by immunofluorescence staining of appropriately treated cell and tissue substrates. To identify circulating IgE antibodies in Rat serum or other body fluids. Excess labelled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal. Recommended Dilutions: 1/10-1/60. |
Reactivities | Rat |
Host | Goat |
Isotype | IgG |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Immunogen | Purified homogenous IgE isolated from Rat serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure. |
Specificity | The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc subunits of the IgE molecule as tested by gelimmunodiffusion techniques against rat sera and a panel of purified homogenous immunoglobulins. A reaction of full identity is obtained with serum containing monoclonal IgE and with the immunogen. No reaction is obtained with normal rat serum. The product does not react with any other protein of Rat plasma or serum. Cross-reactivity: Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail. |
Formulation | PBS, pH 7.2 without preservatives. Label: TRITC State: Lyophilized purified IgG fraction. Label: Tetramethylrhodamine Isothiocyanate Absorption emission: 554 nm / 573 nm Molar radio: Fluorochrome/IgG ~1.7 |
Reconstitution Method | Restore by adding 1 ml of sterile distilled water. |
Concentration | 7.1 mg/ml |
Purification | Hyperimmune antisera with strong precipitating activity are selected for fractionation by saltprecipitation and purification of the IgG fraction by DEAE-chromatography. |
Conjugation | TRITC |
Storage | Store lyophilized at 2-8°C and reconstituted at 2-8°C for one week or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid Repeated thawing and freezing. |
Note | Cross-reactivity: Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since immunoglobulins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail because of the low level of IgE in most species. |
