Applications | ELISA, ID, IF, IHC, IP |
Recommended Dilution | Can be used to identify and measure immunoglobulins, antigen or antibody, at the cellular and subcellular level by immunofluorescence staining of appropriately treated cell and tissue substrates. If two immunoconjugates with different labels but originating from the same host animal species are used for direct two-color staining, they can safely be mixed and used in a single step, without the danger of interaction between the two reagents. This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labelled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal. Recommended working dilutions: 1/20 - 1/80. |
Reactivities | Rabbit |
Host | Goat |
Isotype | IgG |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Immunogen | Purified immunoglobulin fractions containing IgG, IgA and IgM isolated from pooled rabbit serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure. |
Specificity | The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc and Fab subunits of the major immunoglobulins isotypes. It does not react with any non-immunoglobulin in rabbit serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. Cross-reactivity: Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail. |
Formulation | PBS, pH 7.2 without preservatives or foreign proteins Label: TRITC State: Lyophilized purified Ig fraction Label: Tetramethylrhodamine Isothiocyanate Absorption emission: 554 nm / 573 nm Molar radio: Fluorochrome/IgG ~1.6 |
Reconstitution Method | Restore by adding 2,0 ml sterile distilled water |
Concentration | 7,0 mg/ml |
Purification | Hyperimmune antisera with strong precipitating activity are selected for fractionation and purification of the IgG (7S) fraction containing the bulk of the defined antibody specificity. It is free of other serum proteins as tested by immunoelectrophoresis. |
Conjugation | TRITC |
Storage | Prior to and following reconstitution store the antibody at 2-8°C for one month or at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
