The protein encoded by this gene may form complex with G proteins and stimulate Rho-dependent signals. Transcript Variant: This variant (2) has an additional segment in the 3' region, compared to variant 1. This causes the reading frame shift, and the resulting isoform (b) is shorter and has a distinct C-terminus, compared to isoform a.
