OTI Disclaimer Our molecular clone sequence data has been matched to the reference identifier above as a point of reference. Note that the complete sequence of our molecular clones may differ from the sequence published for this corresponding reference, e.g., by representing an alternative RNA splicing form or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP).
OTI Annotation This TrueClone is provided through our Custom Cloning Process that includes sub-cloning into OriGene's pCMV6 vector and full sequencing to provide a non-variant match to the expected reference without frameshifts, and is delivered as lyophilized plasmid DNA.
Reference Data
RefSeq NM_001135685.1, NP_001129157.1
RefSeq Size 2753
RefSeq ORF 2205
Locus ID 4058
Protein Families Druggable Genome, Protein Kinase, Transmembrane
Gene Summary The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the ros/insulin receptor family of tyrosine kinases. Tyrosine-specific phosphorylation of proteins is a key to the control of diverse pathways leading to cell growth and differentiation. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]
Transcript Variant: This variant (3) lacks two internal coding exons and uses an alternate splice site in the central coding region, compared to variant 1. The resulting isoform (3) is missing two internal segments and has a short segment in an alternate reading frame but with the same N- and C-termini, compared to isoform 1.
