HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY FOLR3 (RC212963, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-FOLR3 (1:2000).

• Background: This gene encodes a member of the folate receptor (FOLR) family of proteins, which have a high affinity for folic acid and for several reduced folic acid derivatives, and mediate delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate to the interior of cells. Expression of this gene may be elevated in ovarian and primary peritoneal carcinoma. This gene is present in a gene cluster on chromosome 11.
