HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY ARFGAP1 (RC206987, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-ARFGAP1. Positive lysates LY406240 (100ug) and LC406240 (20ug) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

  Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from 9 different cell lines by using anti-ARFGAP1 monoclonal antibody.

  Anti-ARFGAP1 mouse monoclonal antibody (TA502691) immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected by pCMV6-ENTRY ARFGAP1 (RC206987).

• 

  HEK293T cells transfected with either RC206987 overexpress plasmid (Red) or empty vector control plasmid (Blue) were immunostained by anti-ARFGAP1 antibody (TA502691), and then analyzed by flow cytometry.

  Flow cytometric Analysis of Hela cells, using anti-ARFGAP1 antibody (TA502691), (Red), compared to a nonspecific negative control antibody (TA50011), (Blue).

• Background: The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) which associates with the Golgi apparatus and which interacts with ADP-ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1). The encoded protein promotes hydrolysis of ARF1-bound GTP and is required for the dissociation of coat proteins from Golgi-derived membranes and vesicles. Dissociation of the coat proteins is required for the fusion of these vesicles with target compartments. The activity of this protein is stimulated by phosphoinosides and inhibited by phosphatidylcholine. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
